Dr. Jennifer Salcedo, MD, MPH, MPP, FACOG, serves as the Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at New York Medical College. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and works clinically at Westchester Medical Center where she practices complex family planning, pediatric & adolescent gynecology, and general obstetrics and gynecology. Before joining New York Medical College, she was the Residency Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and Director of the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program in Abortion & Family Planning and an Associate Residency Program Director at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine. There she also held adjunct faculty appointments in the Office of Public Health Studies and the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Salcedo received her medical degree and MPH at Northwestern University, completed residency training at the University of California, Irvine, and fellowship in complex family planning at the University of California, Los Angeles. During fellowship, she received her MPP through UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs, with a concentration in healthcare. She has held leadership positions in the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Society of Family Planning, and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and serves as an ABOG Specialty Certifying Examiner. Dr. Salcedo’s research interests include emergency contraception, health care systems improvement, and medical education. Dr. Salcedo has received the CREOG National Faculty Award as well as the 2020 Mentor of the Year Award for ACOG District XI. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning and holds a focused practice designation in pediatric & adolescent gynecology.
