Dr. Megan Harrison received her medical degree from McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) and completed her Pediatric residency training at Sick Kids (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). She is currently an Adolescent Health Specialist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), an Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Ottawa . She is past-chair of the NASPAG Advocacy Committee, and currently serves on the NASPAG board of directors. Her primary clinical areas of focus are adolescent pregnancy and young mothers, pediatric eating disorders, vulnerable and high-risk youth, and sexual and reproductive health. Dr. Harrison leads many advocacy initiatives at CHEO and within the community using a strength-based, youth focused approach. She is active in interdisciplinary, qualitative research with the aim of highlighting youth voice. Main areas of research include adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights, adolescent pregnancy and parenting, pediatric eating disorders.
