Dr. Nichole Tyson is a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Tyson is a dedicated teacher and serves as Stanford's first Ob/Gyn Director of Mentorship and Coaching.
Throughout her career, Dr. Tyson has held various leadership positions, including serving as the NASPAG Vice President (currently serving her 3rd year in this role) and a member of the Journal of Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology editorial board for a decade. She is also the creator and co-host of the JPAG 1.0 podcast and a member of FIGO's committee on Contraception, where she developed and recorded the first FIGO ever podcasts on the topic of Adolescent Contraception.
She developed and led the inaugural PAG special interest group for AAGL in 2022 and now serves on the JMIG editorial board. Her work on the U.S. Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use, 2024 as one of only four expert external reviewers further highlights her expertise. Dr. Tyson has also co-edited two upcoming PAG books: NASPAG Essentials in Pediatrics and Adolescent Gynecology and Pediatric and Gynecologic Surgery. Dr. Tyson's recent work includes co-presenting a CANSAGE webinar on endometriosis in the adolescent, participating in endometriosis multi-institutional research, and leading a collaborative endometriosis narrative review published this year in the Green journal. Looking ahead, Dr. Tyson will be the program chair for the 2026 World Congress PAG in San Francisco, and she encourages everyone to save the date.
