Aurora is a nationally recognized expert in provider total compensation, with 24 years of healthcare consulting experience. As a leader in ECG’s Provider Compensation & Valuation division, Aurora works with healthcare organizations in the design, implementation, and administration of physician and advanced practice provider compensation strategies. She has extensive knowledge navigating the legal and regulatory requirements and working across all healthcare organizations and specialties in the determination of compensation arrangements that meet the guidelines of fair market value (FMV) and commercial reasonableness (CR).
Aurora works with clients across the spectrum of healthcare organizations representing the nation’s largest health systems, multispecialty medical groups, community and federally qualified health centers, academic medical centers, community-based hospitals, critical access hospitals, behavioral health organizations, single-specialty private practices, and more. Her specific expertise includes:
• Leading FMV and CR valuations for arrangements spanning employment, professional and management services, comanagement, call coverage, medical directorship, and recruitment.
• Collaborating with leadership to develop and implement effective compensation strategies that align with organizational principles, including market competitive, fair and equitable, performance-based, and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
• Auditing provider contracts and administration policies to ensure alignment with market best practices.
• Developing and reviewing total compensation for physician leadership roles.
• Educating organizational stakeholders, from the board to the physician level, on market trends in compensation and the regulatory environment for providers.
• Providing support to healthcare organizations in federal and state investigations as an expert in physician compensation.
Aurora has a master of business administration degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a bachelor degree in economics from the University of Minnesota.
