Monica Woll Rosen is an Assistant Professor of Obgyn who specializes in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She graduated from medical school at the University of Wisconsin and completed her residency and fellowship at Michigan Medicine. She is passionate about providing sexual health education and reproductive health care to those who are too often marginalized. She serves as the co-director of a multidisciplinary gynecology/hematology clinic caring for adolescents with bleeding, thrombotic or hematologic disorders and is also the director of the gynecology clinic for adolescents and women with disabilities. She is the Principal Investigator on a clinical trial through investigating bone mineral density in adolescents using drospirenone contraception. She is also the Co-I on two grants—one from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living on healthcare design for maternal and infant health for people with disabilities, and the other from the University of Michigan Women’s Health Innovation Fund on developing an online sexual health education intervention for adolescent girls with physical disabilities. Outside of work, she enjoys tennis, travel and spending time with her husband and three kids.
