Alexandra Burnett, MD is a third-year family medicine resident at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, she received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati in 2014. She went on to receive both her Master of Health Science and M.D. from Meharry Medical College in 2015 and 2019, respectively. Following graduation, she worked as a research assistant for two years in the Family & Community Medicine department at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine focusing on hypertension and diabetes management, social determinants of health, and patient adherence. During residency, she is involved in multiple leadership and research activities including serving as chief resident, leading both the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Recruitment Committees, and conducting various research projects. This July, she will begin Adolescent Medicine fellowship at the University of Michigan, which is in line with her interests in reproductive and sexual health.
